Covid-19 Safety Plan 2020


SHUSWAP FALLS R.V. CLUB/SHUSWAP FALLS RV RESORT has put in place a plan to reopen and/or continue operations for its members and renters.

The plan accounts for the safety and well-being of its employees and guests by expanding on the operational segments of RV parks and campgrounds in accordance with Federal, Provincial Health and Local Public Health regulations orders and guidance. The plan provides consideration for the following procedures:

  • Social Distancing
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Occupancy and Capacity ‘
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Throughout the plan, tangible evidence of actions showcases the operational effort to optimize the distance between our guests and to clean and sanitize areas they may come into contact with. Examples of these actions include but are not limited to:

  • Modified Registration Procedures
  • Social Distancing Signage
  • Distance between campsites
  • Closure of Specified Campground Areas
  • Enhanced cleaning plans with increased frequency
  • Reduction and/or Removal of Furniture to Minimize Occupancy
  • As recommended, PPE for Employees

SHUSWAP FALLS R.V. CLUB/SHUSWAP FALLS RV RESORT understands the dynamic nature of the COVID-19 outbreak and seeks to monitor with Federal, Provincial Health Orders and Local Public Health on any changing orders or requirements.

Office & Check-In/Check-Out Procedures

The office has implemented a contactless check-in and check-out process for all reservations.

All reservations will be made via email or telephone to the office. All reservations require a 50% deposit. At the time of making a reservation, you will be emailed a Waiver and Code of Conduct that must be signed and returned to the office prior to confirmation of your reservation. This Waiver ensures that you and your party agree to obey the Code of Conduct while at our Resort.

All bookings are at a minimum 7 days.

Arrival Check-in

All check-ins must be between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. No early or late check-ins will be allowed, no exceptions. If you are delayed by construction or traffic accidents, please call the office and an early check-in the next morning may be arranged.

All guests must contact the office 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to your arrival. At that time, we will issue you one gate card and process your final payment by credit card number only.

You may pick up your gate card, payment receipt and site map in an envelope left in the drop box outside the office door. Please wait until a staff member greets you to take you to your designated site prior to entering the park.

We do have a limited supply of firewood. You may bring in your wood or order from the office. The cost is $10.00/bundle. You must order your firewood prior to arrival.

Departure Check-out

All campsites that are checking out must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. There will be no exceptions. You must leave your gate card in the envelope provided to you when you arrived in the drop box outside the office. If you do not leave your gate card at the office, your credit card number will be charged $50.00.’

Guest Covid-19 Code of Conduct

You and your party agree to obey this Code of Conduct while at Shuswap Falls RV Resort.

  • RV UNIT: All RV guests MUST be self-sufficient with water and bathroom facilities in their unit.
  • GROUPS & TENTING: Each group in an RV site must be from one household unit. Additionally, each household group must maintain 2 metres social distancing from other household groups. No gatherings of more than six people in a site allowed at any time. No tenting is allowed this year.
  • HOUSEHOLD: Households are as those people that live in one home and have maintained social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak.
  • HANDWASHING: Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds in warm water and soap every time you enter and exit your unit.
  • SOCIAL DISTANCING: You and your party must always maintain 2 metres of separation from anyone else at Shuswap Falls RV Club.
  • BE KIND AND SUPPORTIVE: Be kind and supportive, remember we are all in this together!
  • SELF-ISOLATION: There many be people at the Resort that are self-isolating. It is imperative that they not come into contact with anyone at the Resort. These guests will display a sign on their unit supplied by SFRVC indicating that they are self-isolating.
  • QUARANTINE: There may be some guests that are required to self-quarantine for 14 days pursuant to the Quarantine Act. These guests will display a sign on their unit indicating they are in quarantine and must not come into contact with anyone at the Resort.
  • PARENTAL SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN: Parents must ensure that their children maintain 2 metres of separation at all times from other children/people from other parties during your stay.
  • VISITORS: No visitors, daily or over-night is allowed in any RV units on property at Shuswap Falls RV Resort. Each group in an RV site must be from one household unity.
